Why we run headless WordPress with Astro
Sample post — authored in WordPress once connected.
We author content in WordPress and publish a fast, static Astro frontend. WordPress is headless: visitors never hit it directly.
How it works
Astro fetches posts from WPGraphQL at build time and renders static HTML. On publish, WordPress pings a Vercel deploy hook and the site rebuilds.
Why it is fast
Because the frontend is static, the WordPress backend speed never affects visitors.
